Second phase: in this phase you are still searching for a weapon, first you find a bomb, then you can proceed to get the Octoshot. Once you reach the end, you will go to the second phase. If you DO get caught, just get outta there as fast as you can. The music only adds to the tension, and if you get caught, it will switch to a strange kind of battle music. First phase, you don't have a weapon, so you will have to proceed through this phase unnoticed by the zombified Octarians, this first phase is so deliciously stressful and scary, it's my favorite phase. Then, you will have to go through a few phases. Your Octoling will almost be blended into a "zombie" (I'll get into THAT later) only to be just barely saved by Agent 3, who, if you played the first Splatoon, you would know who they are. When you get all of the 4 Thangs (the 4 Thangs are parts of a blender) there is a cutscene initiating that will show Commander Tartar (a talking phone, but he doesn't reveal that his name is Commander Tartar yet) forming a blender with all 4 Thangs, screams can be heard right here, and they are loud and piercing. You will require all of the Mem Cakes to unlock the secret boss, Inner Agent 3. Even if you DO skip the stage you can always go back and try again, and if you beat it, you will receive a actual Mem Cake. So, try your best, keep trying, and become a master. Mem Cakes don't have any effect on the story, but if complete an entire set, you get some cool gear to take to Turf War/Ranked/League/Private Battle.Īlso, if you get stuck on a stage, you could always just ask Marina to hack into the stage and make it seem like you completed it, but if you do so, you will receive a Hazy Memory, which doesn't allow you to get cool gear. So, the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion DLC is hard at some points (Girl Power Station, Inner Agent 3) but it is SO worth it!Īs, you progress through the stages, you get these lil' collectibles called Mem Cakes. OK, Splatoon 2 is THE BEST game ever, and the DLC just added to that!
